Smoky John

Who taiked my cig? John the Baptist

Where'd the cigarette go?

John the Baptist: we all know him, we all love him. He is the descendent of the Jewish Essene tradition, whose members are sometimes referred to as "the crusty desert folk" of the Old Testament. Maybe it's because he's out in the desert, but John's got the wrinkles of a chain smoker for life.

More information about John the Baptist from Catholic Encyclopedia.

Dos Equis, por favor!

... is apple pie!

And if he were out in the "dessert" all the time, he'd be fat, not thin.

Two days in a row, two mistakes in a row. Luckily this one is a simple deletion of one letter... I'm glad we're not paying the editor ;-)

except that you went and made the mistake twice, but only fixed it once, leaving it in the last sentence:

"Maybe it's because he's out in the dessert, but John's got the wrinkles of a chain smoker for life."

Yikes! Two mistakes in one posting... hopefully this doesn't become a standard around here.
