We've seen him before... namely, in our second capshun contest. But he's quite the saint, and I'm sure we'll see him again!

He was a fourth-century bishop and martyr, revered in the Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Eastern Catholic and Armenian churches. He is the patron saint of, among other things, animals, children, choking, and throats. In the Roman Catholic church, it is traditional to bless throats on his feast day, February 3.

You may be asking, what's the crazy instrument he's holding? Well, in that great Catholic tradition, Blaise is depicted holding the very instrument he was tortured with when he was martyred for his faith. It's an iron carding comb, which is meant to be used for shearing ("carding") sheep's wool. You can imagine what it might've been used for...
